About
Willow McQuerry's Biography
Willow is a 34-year-old dark romance author who has an interesting relationship with things that are spooky and twisted. On one side of the coin, she enjoys horror and dark themes, while on the other side, she gets creeped out and has to step away to protect her mental health.

Willow was born in Missouri, raised in Georgia, then moved back to Missouri when she was a pre-teen. She never had a place she called home because of the constant move with her family. Even though she has been living in her apartment, she still feels not at home and always holding her breath, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses, Willow knows a thing or two about what she writes when she includes them in her books. Her recent release, We All Have A Hell, has a FMC with schizophrenia. Something Willow is well versed in because she has it herself along with bipolar, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, misophonia, and memory loss.

Willow deals with maladaptive daydreaming. It started in her teens as she used it as a coping mechanism to escape the bullying in school, depression, and hallucinations. She's turned this condition into writing her books as a way to escape reality and work through trauma in her characters.

Her books will always include some type of mental illness because she firmly believes mentally ill people deserve a seat at the table. Just because you have a mental illness doesn't mean you can't have your happily ever after, and Willow stands by that.
